Christmas Day & Cooper is 3 months old

The girls woke up this morning quite excited for the Christmas festivities. Riley & Reagan ran out to the living room and Riley exclaimed "Santa really did come. He ate the cookies." So cute. The girls quickly found the doll house that Santa had brought for them, and they were so thrilled. And Reagan got the underwear she had asked for. So now we just have to start the potty training. She's been asking to use the potty so I hope potty training is not too difficult, but we'll see.

Last night, we hosted Christmas Eve dinner in our new kitchen with my Dad, Annie, and Tristan and Scott's parents. It was a fun evening and a wonderful way to spend the night before Christmas. Riley wanted to make cookies for Santa in her easy bake oven so right before bed we made a batch of easy bake cookies and set them out with the carrots for Santa and his reindeer. Reagan decorated a sugar cookie we had previously made and set that out for Santa. She too was quite impressed that Santa had eaten her cookie last night.

Today, after opening presents at our house and having breakfast, we headed over to Scott's parents' house for lunch/dinner (linner?). It was a fun day. The girls got to play with their cousins, and we got some time to hang out with the family.

It was a really nice Christmas!

Today, also marks Cooper's 3 month birthday. He slept through present opening this morning. When he finally woke up, Riley and Reagan "helped" him open his presents. We've had lots of family around the last few days and it has really shown how laid back Cooper is. He'll happily sit on anyone's lap as long as he's getting their attention. He smiles, coos, and laughs at anyone who will make funny faces at him and just generally likes to be around people. He got his first cold earlier this week, but seems to be almost over it today. Poor guy. I always feel so bad for them when they are so little and aren't feeling well. I took him in to the Dr. to just have his cold checked out before they shut down for the holidays and he weighed 13 lbs 6 ounces. It's amazing 3 months has already passed since he was born.
